YAMAHA Handmade Flute [Merveille] Series

We adopted a new head tube "Type M" developed for Merveille as a standard head pipe. I emphasized the degree of freedom of the tone required for expressing musical expressions, realizing a colorful rich sound that can sense various colors and fragrances.

Merveille's original pitch design was designed to make it easier to express musical expressions with respect to the conventional mean-syllable intervals.

A special acoustic anneal is applied to balance the sound of the pipe body, realizing a deeper and warm sound.

In the conventional flute, the inside and the surface of the cup were of the same shape, but to improve the stability of the cup, the internal shape of the cup was made flat.

In order to improve the operability of F / Fis in the third octave, we adopted a pinless system (adopted for model with E mechanism).

I made sculpture of "Merveille" on the joint part and foot pipe, and "Type M" sculpture on the head pipe.
