YAMAHA YTR-8330EM Eric Miyashiro signature model Bb trumpet

Under the supervision of world-famous trumpeter Eric Miyashiro, his signature EM model has undergone a model change for the first time in 17 years.
The valve casing, which can be called the heart of the trumpet, has been revamped, and each part has been redesigned to optimize the blowing feel in the upper register and control performance. It's getting even better.
Along with the evolution of artists who are always active on the front lines of the world, the EM model is also evolving.

Features

・Newly designed lead pipe and receiver
By giving a moderate sense of resistance, it is easy to aim at the high range, optimizing the blowing feeling and control performance.

・Adoption of step bore (ML)
A step bore (ML) was adopted to achieve a balanced and uniform sound across the entire range. This will change the model name from YTR-8340EM to YTR-8330EM.

*The main slide is an L bore, the slide is an ML bore, and the piston is an M bore. As a result, a smooth and constant blowing feeling is achieved regardless of the combination of pistons 1 to 3 or when released.

・Phosphor bronze parts
In pursuit of the ideal timbre and optimal playing balance, we made numerous prototypes with different materials and weights, and finally adopted a phosphor bronze bottom cap and stopper screw for the first time in a Yamaha trumpet.
Brighter overtones in the upper register and improved overtone richness in the midrange.

・Main pipe sliding support
It has less resistance than normal struts, and uses a uniquely shaped strut that adjusts the sound while minimizing changes in blowing feel and resistance.
In addition, in order to obtain the optimum blowing feeling in this model change, the position of the strut has been reviewed and the design has been renewed.

・Bell
A thin, single-piece yellow brass bell (134.4 mm in diameter) with a large caliber is used to achieve a sound that combines instantaneous power and power.

・French bead (rim of bell)
A French bead is used for the bell rim to increase feedback to the player.

*French bead = A very advanced method of curling according to the shape of a semi-cylindrical bead, as opposed to the general method of curling with a perfectly circular bead.

・Side seams
Adopted side seams where the joints come to the parts that stop the vibration with the struts and extension seats. I get a more open vibration.

*Side seam = In contrast to the general construction method where the seam is on the bottom of the bell, the side seam is a construction method where the seam is on the side (valve casing side).

・New design mouthpiece
Considering matching with YTR-8330EM, the mouthpiece has also been remodeled. Due to its larger shape and weight than its predecessor, not only is the high range clearer and easier to aim, but it also provides richer tones and greater playing freedom in all ranges.

The new model will have MK2 (Mark II) added to the end of the model number and engraving. The TR-EM2-MK2, which is sold separately, has a slightly larger rim inner diameter than the TR-EM1-MK2, and is suitable for those who feel that the TR-EM1-MK2 is too small, but the external design is common to the two models.

・Accessory case TRC-8340EM
A rucksack type semi-soft type case developed as an accessory case for the EM model. In addition to the YTR-8330EM itself, this is a double case that can store a flugelhorn or other trumpets. Many pockets and other storage are provided, and an original mouthpiece pouch is also included.
